This is an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director to join the portfolio management team of a leading global sovereign wealth fund. This team manages all real estate, tourism and entertainment investments made by the firm. This role will report directly into the head of the team, and requires you to be based full-time in Abu Dhabi.

What the job involves

• Managing junior and mid-level professionals in the team
• Measure performance of the team, providing guidance for the achievement of team targets and ensure continuous improvement of all internal procedures and methods of the team
• Develop and execute the real estate strategy of the firm, including the monetization of multiple types of real estate assets
• Oversee and track the progress of defined value creation plans
• Represent the firm to the market, to partners and to all relevant stakeholders and relevant authorities

Who we are looking for

• This opportunity would be suitable for an experienced professional at a top-tier asset manager, private equity firm or specialist real asset firm
• Significant experience of managing a large multi-asset portfolio, as well as overseeing real asset transactions from start to close
• Experience in financial modelling and analysis, valuation and asset management
• Ability to analyse complex data and present, consider and recommend solutions to all relevant stakeholders
• You should have a degree and/or MBA from a top-tier university. CFA or equivalent qualification is preferred
• Strong business acumen and ability to think strategically and analytically
• High professional integrity, strong work ethic and excellent communication skills
• Willing to be based in the Middle East full-time
