Job Summary.

This position reports directly to the NOV WSS Area Manager - Abu Dhabi.

We’re searching for a driven individual who can help us streamline daily operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to budget across all departments. The operations specialist should be comfortable communicating with people throughout the organization, able to solve problems and improvise as needed, and adept at estimating and managing time for a variety of tasks. The ideal candidate is a natural coordinator who has a strong sense of big-picture objectives and a sharp eye for detail.

The Operations Specialist must maintain a sound working and collaborative relationship across the various departments within the organisation.

This position will focus on the following objectives:

• Ensure highest standards of HSE.
• Maintain efficient and pro-active communication with operations team, customers and vendors to ensure highest service quality.
• Assist the operations team in developing, planning, and coordinating operational activities.
• Assist with inventory management practices and improve them when necessary.
• Recommend new procedures for increasing the efficiency of day-to-day operations.
• Project management and coordination of new projects and rig visits..

This responsibilities of this position will include (but not limited to):

• Actively promote a positive and safe HSE culture.
• Monitor day-to-day operations, report on performance, and recommend actionable improvements when necessary.
• Compile and present operational performance data.
• Assist with ordering supplies and manage inventory, coordinating with management to adhere to budget.
• Create procedures and protocols (such as checklists) and distribute to operations crews as required.
• Assist in the planning and utilisation of personnel along with the associated travel bookings.
• Communicate and coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics and HSE as necessary for operational needs.
• Track asset utilisation
• Assist in the financial planning and tracking of the operations in collaboration with the Operations Manager and Area Manager.
• Ensure highest level of service quality for our customers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Project Planning/Management experience
• Degree qualification in relevant field
• Proven organizational skills, including time management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-sufficiency and an ability to work with minimal supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate towards shared goals
• Attention to detail
• Experience in a similar role within operations
• Proficiency with Microsoft suite and other SAP systems
